The African presence is managed by Warren Pearce, a South African national who has worked at Strand Hanson since February 2000, and who has a strong track record in originating and executing African mandates.

Our African presence provides a range of significant benefits for existing and potential clients, including:

  • Enables Strand Hanson to provide vital due diligence and transaction support services more effectively than our peers, both in terms of time and cost;
  • Ensuring that our African clients have advisers with up-to-date local knowledge, and with whom they can interact more easily on the ground; and
  • Identification of opportunities (whether M&A or funding) far earlier than others through the development of key relationships with local market participants - economic, advisory and political - across the entire African continent.

Since the establishment of our African office in November 2008, we are proud to have advised on transactions in eighteen African countries, and to have made direct investments in over a dozen African countries.
