In 2008 Strand Hanson became the first of its peer group to establish a dedicated African office, based in Cape Town, South Africa.

The African presence is managed by Warren Pearce, a South African national who has worked at Strand Hanson since February 2000, and who has a strong track record in originating and executing African mandates.
