South America & Caribbean

Strand Hanson established a presence in South America in 2016, opening a representative office in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Strand Hanson’s presence in South America enables us to access opportunities on the ground, as well as to forge relationships with governments and investors across the continent.

Strand Hanson has advised some of South America’s leading industrial families on structuring and financing transactions in oil & gas, renewable energy, telecommunications, infrastructure and technology and advised several of our AIM listed clients across the region. Strand Hanson also represents a number of major international infrastructure and EPC companies assisting with market entry, business development and political access across a range of territories and developing financing strategies that include working with Multilaterals, Development Banks and Export Credit Agencies. Strand Hanson has also developed an extensive network of contacts in Mexico where it is active in the mining, energy, technology and fintech arenas.

Strand Hanson has also worked with some of the world’s biggest companies in Guyana, providing our local knowledge and access to local market participants and focussing on the fields of private and public infrastructure, commodities, financial services and agriculture.

The South American, Mexican and Caribbean presence is managed by Miles Lewis and Rory Harding, who have strong track records in business development, and originating and executing advisory mandates.
